Teach in a Cambridge-certified International School!

UIA International School of Tokyo (UIA) is one of the few Cambridge-certified international schools IN TOKYO with students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Cambridge curriculum and assessments are designed to encourage students to develop and become confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged learners.

UIA is a rapidly growing school with over 560 students and is welcoming dedicated and highly motivated Primary and Secondary School Teachers, who will engage and inspire UIA students.

At UIA, we aspire to create culturally sensitive, environmentally responsible, global citizens who are prepared to represent and are capable of becoming the leaders of tomorrow’s generation.

Position Objective

The Early Years homeroom teacher fosters an engaging, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum and the Cambridge Learner Attributes — developing students who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged learners.

The role of the Homeroom Teacher is to serve as a nurturing and inspiring leader within the classroom, creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for young children. The primary objective of this role is to foster the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of each child, ensuring that they thrive both individually and as part of a classroom community. The Homeroom Teacher designs and implements age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning, while also guiding students through foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving.
