Aadya Nair

– Currently I go to Shibaura Institute of Technology and am enrolled in the Innovative Global Program. Though we have a few campuses, I’m based around Toyosu currently since most of my lab equipment is here. My program, abbreviated to the IGP, is a research-based program where students have to begin research from the very first year of the undergraduate program, instead of in their final two years like most colleges.

– I think since my class was such a tight-knit group, most of my fond memories have to do with just daily life hanging out with my friends, like during lunch or recess. Other than that I used to really enjoy the preparation for and then annual day itself.

– During my junior year of high school I was Student Body President which really helped me in that it gave me the ability to become a lot more connected to students of all grades and allowed me to help improve student life and grow my own leadership and organizational skills. I was also part of the History Bowl team for a short period of time, which I found really fun.

– The last time I visited campus was actually my own graduation, but I would be more than happy to come back to help out with any college advice or guidance sessions.

– My biggest advice for students is to find time outside of academics to try and find hobbies and interests that aren’t just temporary sources of fun. Look for extracurriculars or activities that help you grow as a person and that can extend past your high school life into adulthood.
