The UIA History Bee & Bowl team travelled to Khao Lak, Thailand, last weekend to compete in the IAC Asian Championships for Science Bee, History Bee, and History Bowl for the first time since 2019. This was an exciting, but challenging competition that many of our team members had never experienced before. By the end of the competition, grade 9 student, Havish Mandhadi, took 3rd place overall in the Science Bee championship, and one of our middle school teams consisting of Abhinav Koukuntala, Rushil Yaragonda, Arush Panda, Havish Mandhadi, Gargi Gundlapalli, and Julie Watanabe, made it to the semi-finals of the middle school History Bowl championship. While some students did not get the results they hoped for, it was a wonderful experience nonetheless. Best of luck to our students during the next season of tournaments!
