Academics

Secondary Levels (G8 - G10)

At UIA, our A Level programme supports senior secondary students in developing academic depth, independent thinking, and strong analytical skills in a focused learning environment. Students engage in subject-specialist study that builds confidence, responsibility, and readiness for university and future pathways.

Mr. Paul McKee

Head of Secondary
Moving from primary school to secondary school is a major transition for all students. They face new challenges and are given more independence than they are accustomed to in their educational journey. At UIA, we understand that this change can be intimidating, but our teachers are well-prepared to guide them through the transition.
As students progress through the secondary curriculum, they develop their skill set of becoming more independent, responsible, and connected learners.
Cambridge Lower Secondary is typically for learners aged 11 to 14 years. We believe education works best when curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment align.
We encourage teaching practice that engages the youngest students in their own learning, and we support our programmes with high-quality resources.
